Our starch ranges Lyckeby Gelling starch and Lyckeby Volume C offer starch for low fat spread production.

Lyckeby Gelling starch is a modern range of starches that mimic the role of fat in low fat spread. To obtain stable products at low fat content, the gelling starches efficiently bind water and build up the necessary texture. The excellent water binding and texture building properties of the gelling starches also provide a rich mouth feel and good spreadability.

The gelling starches is specially developed to suit the production process for low fat spread, with low viscosity in process and controlled gelling during cooling. Thanks to the potato origin, the Lyckeby Gelling starch is neutral in taste and free from allergens.
